Clinical interests
Kim Hicks RN is a Registered General Nurse with over 40 years experience gaining extended clinical skills, experience and qualifications throughout her career. She is currently Sister of the Medical Day Unit at Royal Cornwall Hospital working with clinical colleagues within hepatology and gastroenterology.
Kim is the haemochromatosis nurse for the whole of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, performing venesections since 1996. She also runs a haemochromatosis nurse telephone clinic and has produced a patient easy-read venesection booklet.
Kim is a member of the BSG/BSL haemochromatosis special interest group.
